Poor Linda - I really thought she had found him. Glad they're carrying on with the storyline, anyway.

mikey - yes I remember, vaguely, 'Mrs. Dale's Diary' and I also remember howling with laughter at 'Round the Horn' even though I didn't understand it. You could amuse on many levels in those days - the innuendo passed me by and doubtless made my parents smile. Why can't they seem to do it these days? (Rhetorical, not wanting to start an in-depth socio-lit. debate! :) )

I read that the ne3w editor wants to return the Archers to 'its roots' - phew!

B.T.W. How is Ruth managing not to say 'I told you so' to David?
I don't listen any longer, but I was brought up in an Archers household. I distinctly remember my father having a phone call at 5 to 7 one night to say that my baby brother was born (over half a century ago now), and Dan Archer was being sick in the background :-)
Julian and Sandy...for us all to enjoy !

Dear mikey - thank you.... what a treat. x
Thank you mikey, I used to love 'Round the Horn'. I haven't listened to The Archers for a long time, it was always on in our house while I was growing up.
My Mum missed an episode of Mrs Dale's Diary because I was being born.
She really must have been preoccupied, Hopkirk. Strange....
We were catching up with the Omnibus waiting for a flight in Tucson airport, an other couple, obviously Britons, almost fell off their seats when the theme tune started.
