If you were dragging the dog, then yes, you are cruel. If he walked normally and seemed to enjoy his walk, then no you are not cruel. However, I personally think eight miles is too far to walk a little dog like a pug !

I used to look after a Pug in the long summer holidays as a teenager - it was all I could do to get him to walk from the hearth to the door.

Viv, yes the dog was dragged, he kept stopping but I wanted to get back for a drink, No poop bag needed as there was no time to stop.
