Yes, it's a shame, but she has been in it for quite a long time, actually I thought she was going to go a few weeks ago when Connie was promoted.

They do have a habit of rebounding though, she may be back. It was a good episode tonight.

According to Digital Spy (who ran an interview with the Casualty producer) the actress who plays her just wanted to have a bit of a break, so she will be off screen for a while, but should be coming back.
