Looks like it's going to be another lovely day up here in Bonnie Scotland. Long may it continue as I'm off to Scotland's Garden Show at Ingliston, Edinburgh today. Go every year and always enjoy it. Nothing better than sitting outside with a long chilled drink listening to the Red Hot Chilli Pipers rip it up. Have a lovely day all.

When I left on Thursday the trams were out in force... Practice runs I suppose. I really can't see the point of having them. The buses routes in Edinburgh are excellent and not expensive (£1.50 for a single anywhere in Edinburgh) Does anyone know how much the trams are going to charge to get to the Airport?

Morning ummmm. Just had a look it's £8.00 return or £5.00 single. A pound more than the express bus service to the airport.

the usual justification is that trams run quicker than buses; buses may have bus lanes but trams always have tram lanes. I don't know if this works for Edinburgh but it seems to in many European cities.
