On 13th May 2012 ITV Confirmed after the recent news of the death of 2 British servicemen in Afghanistan, it was appropriate to put the series on hold and air it later in 2012.

I recorded Vera last night to watch this evening and just found out they've cancelled it .They did the same with a recent Silent Witness episode .
Sadly we live in a world where all this sort of thing is a daily happening .It dominates the news .Young girls abused ,soldiers dying in wars not of our making .
Do they think the viewing public need protection ? We all have an on and off button and it's our choice what what we want to watch .
Perhaps they should cancel wild life programmes in case someone gets uspet at a lion killing something to eat .
