Do you bother with Anniversary cards or Valentine cards?
mine is tomorrow so I had to ask OH if he'd bought me one, he had and I felt guilty...so I went for one for him
I was telling this to Trig and his phone in my other thread..lol
Was I being mean? I just don't see the point of them , I know when we got married and I don't need a card with a heart on on Feb 14th to know how he feels

Not over the hill, but certainly on the road to perdition. I always bought my o/h cards, for birthday, valentine, anniversary, easter and so forth, i loved it and so did he, i always got lovely cards in return.

are you male or female Slap?
We've been married nearly 39 years and have never sent each other anniversary or Valentine cards .In fact we never send each other any cards .
These days we don't even buy each other presents .
Don't get me wrong .I love my husband and I'm sure he loves me .I don't need a card or present to confirm it .
I'm just very thankful he's still around :)

very apt words Shaney...xxx
I get the romantic line 'I'm still here aren't I?' on Valentine's Day.

We don't buy each other cards or gifts for birthdays, anniversaries etc.

However, Ihave dropped a wheelbarrow-load of hints for our 25th next year:)
ps He is at the brow of the hill, I'm only half way up :D
I can't ever recall my mum or dad giving each other valentines cards and they only do anniversary ones on special milestones. The story that i've been told is that they both ended up buying the same card one year so just decided that they wouldn't bother. And they've been together for nearly 25 years, married for 20.
