Is it the one where the have a competition - someone says something nice to someone else, and if you spot it and ring in, you win a prize?

No - thought not.

Seriously - it's highly unlikely they will consider story lines from anyone except established TV writers - they get deluged with ideas from first-time writers every day, and hardly any get read, much less considered.

Sorry to be a damper.

If you are serious about script writing - try some ideas out on your local Am-Dram society, or see if your local BBC Radio has any outlets - you have to build up some credability before you get a chance at the big boys.
I fully agree with Andy regarding actual script-writing but it's just possible that the existing script writers might be prepared to accept a bit of inspiration from outsiders as to where the plot-line might go.

So you could try writing to Jeff Povey (who has written this week's programmes) or, possibly better, to the executive producer (Bryan Kirkwood) c/o the BBC. You'd probably get nothing back other than a standard letter but you might find yourself watching the programme this time next year and suddenly think "Hey, this is what I suggested!".

Since the storylines are mapped out well in advance, if your idea is based on any existing storyline, it may already be too late.

You may have an idea for a character that is planning to be written out.

As Andy points out, the producers only use established writers, such are the demands of writing for television.

Writers are asked to write on the show and attend advanced storyline meetings.

Thanks for your input, its just a background thing, not a plot line. I will do as Chris says.
I have an idea. Nuke the place!
They only have limited storylines and just repeat them continually

Ronnie being Mad
max & tanya
Phil being a gangsta (scary ooohhhhh)
kat and Alfie having a row

Repeat until you want to hang yourself
