another excellent british actor of the last forty years has left us.
sympathies to his family.
a big loss to the profession.

He was in Young Winston, All creatures great and small, The Tudors and many others. I think he is one of those actors who you know the face but not neccessarily the name.

only 2 actors able imo to play Winston, Simon Ward and Robert Hardy, a great man and two great actors.
