my dad has been jumped and beatten by two men who stamped on his head and he stopped breathing and had to be revived. one man has been charged with section 18 and the other with afray what is the chances of him getting sent to prision and for how long?

by what you have given, the s18 would probably stand. Whoever caused "a real possibility of loss of life" and "really serious harm". Backed by the notion that he had to be revived and would have passed away otherwise.

Sentencing is a impossible to predict as there are many mitigating factors to be taken into account. The maximum sentence is life

S18 is VERY likley to end with a custodial. The affray could go either way though.

i had the same sort of thing done 2 me by 3 people 3 weeks ago and the police still have not arrested them
