What are your favourite cakes/puddings as the weather starts to get cold? I fancy making some parkin or gingerbread. Puddings - Blackberry & apple crumble & custard :0)

Treacle Sponge Pudding & Custard :o)
Question Author
tonyted - If we're including savoury too - homemade soup, broccoli & stilton, yum!
Question Author
Metz - Love sponge pudding & custard. Recently made a large batch of microwave sponge pudding mixture & divided it into individual ramekins, froze & ate one each night after tea :0)
skep - i've got a great recipe for microwaved sponge pudding, it always amazes me that it only takes 3 minutes rather than 2 hours of steaming!
Did you cook the sponges before you froze them? How long did they take to cook individually? How did you defrost them?

To contribute to your thread - home made pumpkin soup, casseroles and baked potatoes - done all afternoon in the oven and not the micro!
woops, sorry skyep!
Question Author
crisgal - No I did'nt cook them before freezing them. I microwaved them from frozen on the defrost setting for about 6 mins.
