Are laptop tv cards any good? Which one is best? I just want to watch some tv on the laptop using an aerial. I saw some on ebay for around �14.99 + 6.00 p+p LAPTOP NOTEBOOK PCMCIA TV TUNER VIDEO CAPTURE MPEG CARD. Has anyone tried this? Thanks

The DVB sticks shown on the page below especially the Freecom and Hauppage usually get good reviews.

I once tried the hauppage one and whilst the tv reception was very good the software to allow you to record was poor.

If you generally have good tv reception in your area one of these should meet your requirements.

I've used the Freecom USB one but you only get a good picture with a roof aerial. The small one that comes with it isn't very good. If there is a PCMCIA one, I would try that (not many items use the PCMCIA now except maybe a wireless card). It will probably stick out less as well.
