And I doubt he could have read my responses:
“Anybody falling foul of the regulations now is about as daft as those who based their referendum vote on promises made by politicians.”
From Ryanair’s website under “requirements for passports”:
-----
“It is each passenger's responsibility to carry a travel document which meets the requirements of Ryanair immigration and other authorities.
If you are using a British passport to travel into a Schengen/EU member country (excluding Ireland), as of 1 January 2021, you must make sure that your passport:
- is valid for at least three months from the date you will leave the Schengen/EU member country, unless you have a Schengen-issued residence permit or long-term visa
- is issued within the previous 10 years upon the date of arrival into the Schengen/EU member country”

Perhaps the Marquess of Cholmondeley’s father-in-law (which, apart from being a “web designer” and being refused boarding to a Ryanair flight seems to be his only claim to fame) should have looked at one of the multitude of sources (including AB) where this information was readily available.
These requirements have now been in place for more than two years and the passage of time is making anybody falling foul of them look increasingly foolish. So long as you keep posting these same inane questions about passports I will continue to demonstrate how foolish it is to do so.
