Fridge temperature

You know the temperature dial inside a fridge....mine is numbered 1 to 7 - which is coldest, 1 or 7?

Assuming similarity with the ones here in the U.S., the higher the number the colder the temperature set... 1, warmest, 7 coldest...
Test both out if you want to be sure, maybe with a bottle of milk. There should be a noticeable difference.
we keep ours at 4-5 - 7 is coldest.
I need to know this too! It's on 4 at the minute which is a tad warm but I don't want to change it in case everything goes really warm!

I can turn mine up to eleven! That really cool! :)
And on mine the highest number is enough to freeze tomatoes, yet the second highest it is warm enough for the thermometer to point to "spoil".
