.... it's 6 weeks now since my boy had a drink (of alcohol) he's been so good and looks so well, wouldn't have believed what a difference it's made. Even his athletes foot has cleared up!

Good news is never boring. Well done, him.
So pleased for him, and for you, masma - long may it continue, we're certainly not bored by his strength of willpower.
Not at all bored, your news is good news masma and after his being addicted for so long it's really good to hear that he has made such progress. Well done to him and you and your family for standing by him to help him through. Nice to get good news without a doubt.
Very pleased for both of you. Not boring at all, it's good news.

Try telling that to the BBC, ITN, Sky News, CNN, etc!

However good news from nice people (with cute avatars) is always welcome ;-)
Brilliant news for you and your son masma !
I read today in the Live magazine with The Mail On Sunday that Chris Evans in his column has announced that he has given up since last Tuesday ....... he sounds very determined, lets hope so for his sake. He certainly seems a changed man recently, more mature, almost likeable!
I'm not bored. I am very glad to hear he is doing so well. Keep up the good work. Any addiction, whatever it is, is very difficult to cure.
masma, great news!.....not at all boring, so pleased to hear it!....
Oh Masma you must be so very proud of him and am sure your support has been invaluable.((HUG))

Ann - yes I read that too, Chris said that he wanted to have a glass of wine on his birthday, April 1st 2012, he said that he'd had a few drinks last Monday and on Tuesday felt so ill that it scared him. My boy had an "episode" that not only scared him but frightened the living daylights out of me and his dad. I'm walking on eggshells but bless each day he's here with us.
:-)) Fantastic! Really, really good news masma. x

Buenchico - my avatar is Jetspoon (ask ttfn) our dearly loved dog who went walkies 16 months ago. We now have Coco who is a real treasure but I still can't replace with Jet as my avatar.
I was thinking of you and your son the other day - I am sure that he really appreciates the support that you have been giving him. ;-)
Question Author
Yes Wolf indeed he does - he's such a dear soul, I just pray he can get himself sorted and get his life back.
Pleased to hear the good news, Masma.
