A good trick they seem adept at is to come and read your meter, you get the bill, and then you pay it.

No, don't do that.

They read the meter. Then send you an estimated bill that bears no relation to the actual reading, tricking you into over-paying.
I got a quote for switching to them, and then they wouldn't go away..I didn't switch
i ended an account that i had with nPower over 6 months ago when i moved. they took money out of my bank account this week! apparently, they have cancelled my electric but not my gas!

They put my Direct debit up from �46 to �138 per month.
