i hope not to be honest, its hard enough for me to navigate our uneven streets without snow and worse rain then ice.

Oh Emmie, that's not the spirit! ;-)
i know, but my mobility is suspect at the best of times, if i go tripping over the ice i will sooner than later incur a nasty fall, one which will be embarrassing and difficult to get up from.

Ah yes, well that doesn't sound good at all. Perhaps just opt for a sled... and some huskies, to help you along?
good idea, though im going to look a right berk sledging down Oxford Street.

I disagree... people have been know to get their skis out!
I really love the snow, but I appreciate it makes it hard for some that can't go out in it.
no skis i admit, but decent boots for walking in snow/ice.
No, I dont think we are likely to have snow this christmas. I think we are much more likely to have bright sunshine like we have at the moment.

Definitely hope not.
For skiers I hope their slopes are white but being a normal person trying to get about and earn a living, in general, no thanks.
I live in the country so nice if you're inside looking out - but apart from that, no thanks.
white christmas? only on my christmas cards thank you

apart from children who may get off school if it snows badly enough so they can go play, i don't know anyone who really likes it to snow.
Could do without it. It looks nice on Christmas Cards, and at least makes the scruffy gardens as presentable as the tidy ones.
I hope not, as I won't be able to get to my brothers for Xmas lunch !

But from Boxing Day onward, it can snow as much as it ruddy well likes !

Not that it will here in South Wales, the chances are that it will rain, probably non-stop.
Emmie, I am that person, absolutely love to see a deep covering of snow. OK, I'm retired so don't need to go out in it, but I've got a proper 4x4 with winter tyres and winter supplies onboard. Wife loves it and has too drive for work. So there's two snow lovers.
I like looking at it, sam.
The first weekend of real snow, we speed up to the Lake District and go fell walking, heaven on earth.
i don't mind if it doesn't turn to slush, and usually in the capital it does.
