Couldn't find it on Google
I have looked but can't find it. Someone else might, though.
Have you got the name of the fox right?
Is it the Aesop's fable, The Fox and the Crow?

It begins:
"Old Silas was a cunning fox,
Just look at him and see.
He lived alone in Bluebell Wood, beneath the old oak tree..."
Maybe from a children's story book of 1940s - 50s!
