First line of a poem with many verses that my husband knew by heart as a child and keeps trying to recite to grandchildren but keeps forgetting bits!
What is the name of the poem so that we can find all the words??

Next lines are:
"Just look at him and see,
He lived alone in bluebell wood,
Beneath the old oak tree".
It may be from a 1940s-50s children's storybook.
No idea what the poem is, but have you considered phoning the Poetry Library and asking them if they can identify it ? For queries, the web page is http://www.poetrylibrary.org.uk/queries/

Thank you, Huderon. I will try that tomorrow.
crockshard, I've looked for this and can't find anything. Will you please let us know if you find it? I'd like to read it.
