I am not sure that you could...if you try and hoover something light it just gets sucked up the hoover.

There are two layers of insulation - the bottom one is blown stuff that has blown all over the place since it was put in, then there is a thick layer of fibreglass-on-a-roll stuff - then the grit and general grot has got sprinkled over the top and sunk into all the gaps.

I think hoovering the fibreglass would harm your cleaner, it's not as soft and fluffy as it appears!
Close the hatch and never go up there again. |
|
Leave it as it is. Fibreglass is nasty stuff and is best left undisturbed...

Thank you folks, you give justification to my indolence and indifferent housekeeping. The hatch stays shut, and the hoover is back in its cage.

I'd deffo go for the latter.
Been here nearly 8 years and haven't seen inside my loft. I intend to keep it that way. |

Alba, did you never check it for dead bodies when you moved in? This was my primary objective - all clear, so I then filled it with insulation, then junk.

I just sent the young Albas and Mr Alba up. :-)
I've got a kitchen sink in there. Don't ask, just one of those things lol Did you have any success with Virgin? (Digressing off topic I know, sorry) |

Question Author
No change with Virgin - I'm looking to change but as an Easyjet flight is due quite soon I will do so after it---you hear so many sorry tales about being charged for random things!
