i thought of white or a really rich ivory creamy colour but i just hoped ide get some ideas for something different?
Well, you've got the darkish suite so you really do have to lighten things up white/cream really are your only options. & then do as I've done put bathroom posters up on the walls creats interest, lifts it up....
go to a 'Posters' site, you can get any b/room subjedt perfume. soaps, old fashioned baths. towels, take your pick, have fun.
I think I would go with a rich cream, as white can be a little cold, accessories, can be a mix of shades of cream and ivory and some fresh green plants, just to soften the harshness of the colour of the suite, should look fine........................
White or cream will make the suite look darker still. Something like a pale mint green would go well, would match the suite, and still keep the room bright.
I quite agree that a dark green bathroom suite isn't the ideal colour! To warm and brighten the room up I'd emulsion the walls a very pale peach and emulsion the ceiling a strong peach colour (when the light hits this it makes the room glow). Next, you need some bright, fluffy towels and bath mat; orange would work well here.
Have the same sort of awful suite. My walls are pale lemon, ceiling ivory, Towels bright yellow, with mats to match.A couple of light green foliage plants, Cotton curtains cream with very small lemon spots.Paint work ivory.
how about a pastelly, but limey green? and accessorise with lots of different greens and a splashes of bright pink and jewelly colours? i know it sounds a bit mad but some of these telly decorators make these zany things colours look quite stylish. it would certainly be cheerful!
Not a great colour start for a bathroom. However, I would be inclined to paint a very pale pink and add accents of burgundy. Do the ceiling in a creamy white to add warmth and help pull it all together.
I wouldn't go for any colour 'clashes' like orange or burgundy....both would look too heavy, and white/cream too much of a contrast.

I would instead try watery blues and greens like pale turquoise, sage, and a bit of deep teal. Offset these with either glass accessories or natural pale woods. You may actually end up with a soothing and relaxing bathroom.

Use turquoise towels, and a sage or bamboo bath mat. Add some ferns if the room has a window, and find some glass ornaments in reflective greens and blues. A mirror with a mosaic frame would be good also.
Beige would also make a great neutral with that colour bath suite, especially if using dark burgundy accents, which go beautifully with dark green. You could even add touches of gold.
I like NoM burgundy suggestion, it would look quire Edwardian. My sister has dark green tiles in her bathroom (they are authentic and go with the age of the house) so she has dark wood and white at the moment.

That's a good guide for greens.
