Son in law is going to remove our bath and replace it with a shower tray while we are away over New Year. He came to have a look and took the bath panel off. I was so embarrassed at the amount of cobwebs and dust that was underneath.
I know I'm not expected to clean under the bath panel but it was awful. The panel hasn't been off since it was put there 14 years ago when we moved in.
He just found it funny me being uncomfortable about it. I have the best SIL anyone could have. He has done so many jobs for us including rebuilding the conservatory when we had subsidence and the insurance wouldn't touch it.
We are both finding it a bit difficult climbing in and out of the bath to have a shower. It's not going to get any easier as time goes on. OH got his Blue disabled badge this morning so we are a double blue badge house os.

Caran, don't worry about it. I'm sure your SIL was expecting to find cobwebs etc behind the bath panel.
I daren't look behind mine Caran.
I'm sure we've all got places like that!
I don't know of anyone who takes their bath panel off to clean behind it. Of course there'll be dust and webs there.
Oh that happened to me! But even worse.
I needed the old one taken off and a new one fitted so got a man in.

He took the old one off and said "do you want to have a little clean around in there before I put the new one on?"

Oh the shame!
since we had a bit of a problem with mice, i was expecting to find dead ones behind the panel, luckily it was just dirt, whew..
When some strange noises were coming from under the bath, taking it off revealed a squirrels nest:-(
Nothing like the dog hair behind our fridge freezer in the utility room when we moved it recently.
Been there Zac.......
Oh lordy...I'd rather not think of what might be behind and under my cooker and fridge. I keep wishing I could move them, but I'd never get them back in. :-(
I could ask a friend to help...but then they'd see what a slob I am...
You need those slider tracks pasta.
