My primroses and primulas have now finished flowering, When is the best time to move them and/or divide them. I would to put Impatiens (busy lizzies) in their place ?

After flowering is the correct time to lift and divide them so go ahead any time.
I dig mine up and cut them back to about 2" and transplant them in a spare plot of ground until the `fall` when I put them on display again.
