As good as
for Wales
It's been a great welcome home from their fans hasn't it?

A joy to watch.
:-) Joe.
Didn't have to come home through the back door wearing hoods either
No they didn't, Joe....well not this time....it's still going on I think.....but isn't it nice to see something good happening.....very jolly and happy making......Gx
Something you'll never see in England that's for sure
They've made history and the fans are proud.

Unless I'm mistaken, they lost 2 - 0, if that is a cause for celebration in Wales I just don' t understand it.
Anyone care to explain?
They have never got this far before.

Is that meant to be an explanation?
My only explanation, Baldric would be that they've gone a fair way.... done themselves proud....winning isn't the be all and end all.....(except if you are on my quiz team)....so.....in these grumpy days when everyone seems to have itchy pants....let's have a fun celebration.....doesn't hurt anyone.....x
Don't be grumpy pants, Baldric :-)
Much better side than ours, they did well. But what do you expect when England managers keep picking Rooney.

They came second in their match, this does not make them Winners, far from it, more training, more discipline they might just have been in there, sadly no such luck, second is no different to total losers overall.
Now be honest.
Baldric, they may have been put out by the possible winners. What would you advice be for the England team?

Sibs, their performance was abysmal, as always, overpaid, under talented Prima Donnas, next question?
Many years ago Kettering Poppies made it to Wembley......we were beaten but still....
We had an open top bus parade and lots of celebrations.

What was fantastic was that our kids could see that you could aim for the top....do your very best yet be beaten....but rather than sulk, moan and grump...you could celebrate what you had achieved......and be spurred on to do better....

To only take joy in being the top.....to take no joy and pleasure from doing your best and actually getting somewhere...and belittling any other achievement is pretty sad and a poor example for our kids.....x
Baldric for next England manager

Whatever, they are not winners!
And Northampton made it to Wembley and the town went football crazy.

Like Gness says it's as much about the effort put in and the backing and support they receive...
