I just made my last cut with my Castlegarden Elec. rotary mower! It gave me ten years trouble free maintenance with on average a weekly cut during the growing season. Probably, it would still be going had I not accidentally ran over and cut off a wrought iron foot of a garden bench last week!
If I get a replacement that's even half as good-I will be more than happy!
In contrast, I previously had two Flymos in a bout three seasons!

My current mower is about 52, but looks quite fit for his age.
My Gran
Mine was about 42 years old or more when I didn't need it anymore and gave it away to a friend. That was in 2009 and it's still going strong. It's a manual and brilliant.
If you broke the blades, surely you can get those replaced, matheous; however, if you damaged the drive shaft........
My pa has a suffolk punch.

Didn't break the blade-but certainly slackened it and perhaps sheared off two locating pins which is why it no longer stays rigid......Perhaps some Viagra might help!!
I've never owned a mower.
when I had a garden I used an old push mower I bought in a car boot my ex is still using it
I bought a Flymo rotary mower (new) in 1994, and it's still doing a good job. I give the blade a sharpen up before the grass-cutting season, and that's all that it seems to need. Happy birthday to my 18 year-old mower!

I'm afraid the two Flymos I had went down with motor trouble.....Maybe I was just unlucky.
