Had fantastic crop last year but complete cr#p this year. Have put it down to the generally cold weather and excessive rain. Tomato plants too are stunted and look unlikely to do well. Really disappointed.
Mine were doing ok (as were tomatoes) but seemed to have just stopped growing now. I doubt there will be any beans or tomatoes to be had.
sounds like they need feeding , try using something high in nitrogen, have a look at the label on the back, you will see a rating in N (nitrogen) P(phosphorus) and K(potassium) you want a feed high in N, try and remember this.
N-shoots
p-roots
k-fruits.

Dave.
I only put mine into the ground over the jubilee weekend as it had been so wet and cold recently. I grew them in pots in a plastic greenhouse and rather than plant them out in May, I opened the front and left them sheltered in there for an extra few weeks.

Its not too late to pop a few more beans direct into the ground next to your ailing plants. If they come back and the new ones grow too then all well and good; but if the original ones are lost these will grow up to take their place.

Thanks for the very sound advice from you alll i will give all suggestions a try Thanks again Rick
I bought a strip in B & Q the other day which were reduced to 20p, some of the tops had either been eaten or broken off, looks more like they have been eaten, but went ahead and planted the whole lot anyway, been out to check on them today and so far so good. I had originally decided not to grow anything this year as we have a hosepipe ban and watering is a pain without it, but for 20p I thought it was worth taking the risk :)
