how much should I expect to pay to have 3 kitchen cupboards put up? They measure 300mm, 400mm and 600 mm. Depending on where I decide to put them, the walls are solid or plasterboard. They are from an old fitted kitchen and have the little boxes inside the top of each cupboard with the huge long screws to fit to the wall. Very vague I know, but I just want a very rough estimate. I live in Cambridge.

About ten minutes each for the cupboards, Foxy. Maybe a little bit longer for plasterboard. The trouble is, it takes longer to drive there and get all the tools etc from the van than actually doing the job.
Allow for two hours.......... assuming various inevitable problems though.
Rates vary a great deal.
A good tip, if you ever get a handyman/builder in............ make a list of a few other jobs too. Try and make up at least a morning's work. He'll get a lot more done - hence cheaper in the long run.

Thank you so much builder for your speedy reply. We have someone in mind who charges £12 per hour and I just wondered if this was reasonable. (It seemed so to me but I just wanted to check with someone in the know.
