would it change me ?
of course, how could it not ?
would it make me happy ? not sure, with the publicity people will know you have the cash and badger you for some of it/con you out of it - and even if you wanted to remain anonymous, no doubt you would be hounded by the media. that could be a bind. but i think there are a lot of good things i could do with the money - and i don't mean accumulated possessions, more humanitarian.

I don't think it would change me particularly but it'd be nice to make sure my family are set up for the future and don't have to worry. Also be nice to just quit the day job (I never understand people that don't do that) and go travelling for a year and tell the man hostage to do the same... I certainly wouldn't want any publicity though.
