Do you think that for the rubbish they serve it's quite expensive?

I mean you get the same quality (or the lack of it) for half the price, from a burger van.

So why do so many people regularly eat there? it's not even that nice and there's better convienience foods around.

well they try to make you think they keep a standard, I worked there and they arent that up to scratch

We call our local burger van the salmonella wagon. Eat from there and you're ill for a week.

even though i am a veggie i would prefer a burger from mcd's than an burger van simply because mcdonalds have standards and rules...a man in a van can do what he wants...serve out of date meat, dropped on floor, ancient ketchup, rancid fat, unwashed hands, ...and where does he wee?

molly, do you eat any sort of processed meat? If so, do you know what goes into them? I worked in a meat processing factory that produced food for budget and high-market retailers and it was an education!

It's all about branding and image. If you go to McD's you know what you're getting but if you you go to Fred's burger bar you're taking a risk. It's the same reason all our high streets are identical these days (smiths, boots starbucks etc..)

I like KFC, Burger King and McDonalds - but I only about once or twice a year.

I love the ice cream from McDonalds and the shakes from Burger King.

As a occasional treat these places are good - but I wouldn't eat on their food on a regular basis.
