was walking past this quite old fashioned shop on my way back to work (sorry for swearing) on my lunch hour when i saw these gorgeous quaint oven gloves in the window, they were a cerise shade with yellow sunflower patten and i had to have them, it was a charity shop so i quite happily gave 3pence more than their value, they now hang in my kitchen looking resplendent next to my yellowing wallpaper, do you have oven gloves? if so tell me about them

Bob, the oven is that thing for cooking food in, why would you need an oven glove when you never use it? What a waste of money!!!!! Tut, wrap them up for a secret santa at work, they'll never guess they are off you!
hello bob,
i do have oven gloves, many a pair,my favorite ones would have to be the dog ones as they serve a dual purpose....not only do they prevent me from burning my little fingers, but when little children sneak up behind me while I'm cooking i use them as puppets to teach them about being careful around the kitchen.
when things get quite lonely they're also great to have a chat to.
I have a one handed oven glove thats has brown and orange stripes on it.Very retro 80's and very cool.
Bob, I am sorry but I cant be doing with anyone who actually leaves their desk, let alone work, at lunch time to go for retail therapy in the name of charity. Rather than keep hold of them for decorative purposes, why dont you pop back to the shop and re-donate them for the next lucky consumer. I hope that when you do go back you do it in your own time though. Whilst in there if they have orange ones with daffodils on, can you get them for me to replace my garish beige ones. But try to get a few quid off - they are second hand after all, and who knows what grubby little hands have been in them.

i first realised that i did'nt own oven gloves when i took the chicken out of the oven with my bare hands, luckily for me i forgot the basics in regards to switching the oven on, so there was no damage other than my pride, i managed to get down to asda to get a couple of cooked chickens to spare my embarassment

Oh yea the oven gloves?
