It's not my house. I'm babysitting and the owner of the house is adamant that she has to trim the entire house now. I'm sat next to the John Lewis penguin and surrounded by 3 Christmas trees.

Why are you doing the trimming if you are babysitting? Surely that's not part of the job description? ;0)

omg this country has gone mad!! I'm of an older age,nothing started til at least 3 wks before Christmas , only modest decor and pressies .The pressure and over hype of nowadays have made me go the other way- cant be bothered at all any more! We dont even have a tree.

She's still trimming up. I'm getting a little bit £%&@#£ off now because this is just stupid. When babysitting for this family there are no specifics in tbr job description.

I wish they were anything else right now weecalf. I feel sick just by the sight of Christmas trees.

I went to my local garden centre to get some plants for hanging baskets. The cupboard was bare. The shelves were empty of plants. Christmas trees and holly wreathes were everywhere. Didn't want either so had to go to a local florist for plants. Small selection but at least they had some.

OMG that's a bit early - I still have 4 birthdays before Christmas. My tree etc. goes up on 12th December and not before.

Mallyh: lol it's not soo bad. I started making my own John Lewis Advert. This time I also brought my PlayStation. The 20 year old I'm also looking after won't allow the 7 year old to borrow his games because instead of asking he just takes them without asking.
