I am just cooking some salmon pieces, which we are going eat cold, with new potatoes and salad.

Can anyone suggest a tasty, low calorie dressing, to drizzle over the cold salmon? Thank you

White wine vinaigre with chopped fresh sorrel leaves

Oh, I'm spoilt for choice now. How do I decide? Probably by looking in the fridge and seeing If I have any of the ingredients suggested.
Give us your 'Ready,Steady Cook' bag and let us scare you into a ketchup and gravy solution.......
Question Author
.......I definitely haven't got any sorrel.

Ketchup? Me? Never!
You don't make BBQ sauce then? That can be quite a good glaze for salmon.......
Question Author
No, I don't Eccles. I don't do messy food where you have to lick your fingers to get the grease off.
lime or lemon freshly squeezed, bit of black ground peppercorn, olive oil....
My dad used to put ketchup on his Sunday dinner...

I'd do a balsamic dressing...
Question Author
I like balsamic dressing and will probably use it on the salad anyway. Perhaps I'll make a bit more and sprinkle in on the salmon.

My daughter's boyfriend puts ketchup on everything too, I was horrified when he first came for Christmas turkey!
I find salmon oily and sickly so anything sharp, lemon, lime, vinegar all sound good

Mr T likes ketchup on his fish and chips. I don't even like the smell of it.
The "old lady".

Just finished dinner....chicken poached in coconut milk with Oriental spices (Ducras in Spain, Schwartz in UK I think), chips, chow mein and a bottle of Spanish wine which you probably haven't heard off.

Not a calorie counted in the whole meal.

After she had beaten the competition for my hand in marriage, I had to deal with the "rough edges" so i sent her to London for the week to the Pru Leith school of cookery.

I taught her about wines and sex and she is now the finished article.

What I didn't know that, 30 years on i would meet someone like BOO....;-)
I didn't suggest you eat the salmon with your fingers I simply suggested a glaze for your salmon.

What's all that got to do with my cold salmon, low calorie dressing? Not a sausage.

Oh, right Eccles, I'd better get the cutlery out then.
Well Tilly...........played you cards, been in the right place, in the right frame of mind (me that is), you could have been.........Mrs sqad.
Question Author
Perhaps in the next life, Sqad. Sadly, it was not meant to be, this time round.
I really do find you quite baffling Tilly.
Question Author
Why, Eccles?
I honestly wonder if you have a wicked sense of humour or some very scary neuroses.
