I love weekends on my own.

I got up late, when shopping for food that only I enjoy, had lunch instead of supper and have just woken up after a sofa snooze.

I will now pour a drink a search through the TV page in search of something to entertain me for a couple of hours.

Tomorrow's entertainment will be a facial or a pedicure.

Am I the only one who revels in a weekend of peace and quiet?

Ooo lovleee..stay in Jim jams, open a bottle, eat chocolate and ice cream, watch Grease and wriggle me toes !!! Bliss....:0)

Grease was what we used to watch with hangovers while eating bacon sarnies on Saturday or Sunday mornings!

Loving it, came home from Hospital last Saturday, not back on Dog walking duties yet, neighbour and OH are doing that atm. just lazing about watching Tourists (Piles) and enjoying the view, finding the odd glass of Red adds to the enjoyment as well ;-)
I hate being alone and enjoy company and a bit of madness every once in a while.

Whenever that's not available then the bottle starts to call me and you can only take so much of dancing around the room singing into the hairbrush and phoning around before the realization of how crappy and lonely my life is sometimes :(
Oops sorry to bring the vibe down I'm quite cheerful at the moment so please don't anyone worry.
Himself does some voluntary thing on a Sunday so I often have a selfish Sunday, maybe a day in the week too.
Sometimes I enjoy them, sometimes I don't, just depends on my mood. Tomorrow I'm looking forward to, just to potter at my own pace and catch up with some serious kindle reading.
Ps. We drove through Holyport this morning, on the way back from somewhere, what a lovely village. Had a look at the Belgian arms (nice history of the name)and have earmarked it to take son and Swedish daughter in law to for birthday meal, she loves quaint English pubs and they both appreciate good food :)
baders i'm glad to see you are back with us and living life to the full. x
Henrietta what sort of songs do you sing?
Question Author
Eth, I'm so pleased you liked the look of The Belgian Arms. It is in a wonderfully quintessential English village green setting, perfect for showing off to friends and family from overseas.

I love any time on my own.
I like having time on my own, listening to my choice of music. Doing the things I fancy and eating what I feel like.
It makes me smile Eccles, just by sheer chance we've ended up in this neck of the woods for half our year, and that our footsteps have very probably crossed yours at some point. So near yet so far...;)

Oh Eth, I hadn't realised you were peripatetic; do the rozzers keep finding you? ;-)

I've just noticed I have hobbit feet so tomorrow will be pedicure day. It means I can slather my feet in cream this evening and then a pair or toasty socks :-)
Peripatetic, how very dare you!!! Actually, more like verypathetic at the mo.
No, the rozzers haven't got wind yet, covered our tracks nicely for now although our northern accents are a dead give away. Have to try and start talking more bucks and berks.
We have family in Oxford, central London and Silsoe, so being down here is great for seeing them all regularly. And it's a lovely part of the country too. We'd started to try and walk the whole of the Thames path but that's rather gone for a burton at the moment.
Anyhow, hope your hobbit feet recover :)

I'll be sure to keep an eye open for a couple with a northern accents wearing flat caps with a whippet at Ascot farmers market......

If it's not you it'll be Chris Evans!
lady-janine I wish I could say it was "Raining men" but lately it's been Tinchy Stryder and Dappies Number One.

Beautiful and uplifting track when I'm down.
I would love one of your days eccles. I have just sat at the computer and I can't keep my eyes open, best move about before I fall asleep.
