Oh and if you fancy something a bit more exotic Yotam Ottolhenghi's Plenty has some good but rather long winded recipes.

Any of the Cranks recipe books are brilliant. And I agree with Eccles about the River Cottage books

...and, if you want "cheap", The Works cheapo bookshops have lots of them at 99p and other daft prices.
Don't necessarily think "celebrity name" when it comes to recipe books - you'll pay a hefty premium if you do!
