I am a newly diagnosed Type II diabetic.

I am sure the readings are correct and used the monitor on somebody else to make sure it is working, and their reading was 7.8.

What is your medication? If you are newly diagnosed, what have they told you?

No medication, diet only. I will do it again in a bit and report back.
Me too, mine is usually 7-8, I'm happy with that. 1-2? I would have been very Ill with a reading like that, You should be around 5.

if the reading is accurate,i would certainly seek medical advice from NHS 24 ,they then might request you to contact your medical practice, hope all goes well.
