I want somewhere on Christmas day where there will be no Christmas decorations in sight and it must not cost me any money to get there.

The neighbours have christmas decorations on the outside of the house and my dog needs a walk on Christmas day.
there won't be any here but you'd have to pay your own taxi fare
There won't be any here either. Just ignore the neighbours decorations.
Hello again. Unless you go abroad- maybe to the East- you may have to stay inside your home with the curtains shut, don't turn on TV, internet or radio. If you need to visit someone though- maybe a parent in a nursing home- though it may be difficult to avoid it.
Off for a run now.

Maybe this will give you some hope
Didn't Charles Dickens write a book about you?
If you're not familiar with it, I recommend that you should read it.
It's okay Michael- he doesn't have to be lonely this Christmas - he lives very close to Brimoan, Granger99 and ClivePenn so they can all get together for a non-Christmas party.:-)
Maybe you have a problem GGods, does Christmas maybe bring back sad or painful memories? Are you lonely? Or non-religious? Whatever the reason you are entitled to love or loathe it, but as a Christian I look on it as a season of peace, hope and friendship. Hope you find peace in whatever you decide to do.
Sounds like your own living room.
Not a morning person GGodsmark?

I have just been a walk with my dog. He is Scottish and does not like spending money at the vet.
I like that one. Have you not been for a run this morning?

Do you spend money?.
sadly i rather agree with you but can't see any way around it. Shops, streets will have decorations up, some already have, and quite frankly if it wasn't brought on so early in the year it wouldn't be half so bad.
I'm curious as to why you are asking me that GGodsmark.
As you walked the dog in Stratford did you see the 4am (now 7am) Running Club pass by?
Come up north up my Loch will find a wee cave for you to stay.

I saw some runners.
There must be enterprising hotels or whatever in remote places offering that sort of break. Try a web search.
