Unhealthy 'healthy' cereal bars

On the news today, it's reported the healthy cereal bars are full of sugar, some worse than doughnuts! Does anyone have a healthy recipe to make your own cereal bars?

Is it always the case of something that's healthy is either low in sugar but high in other baddies like fat or salt? For example, low fat crisps are always very high in salt and tastes far too salty. Or is it a case of you can't have your cake and eat it?!

Thanks, Coriander. I'll take a look and try having a go at them.
I make my own. I don't have quantities for anything but it gives you an idea. I use porridge oats, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, shelled pistachio nuts, pine nuts and almonds and mix with honey and melted butter. Press into a tin and bake until golden. They last in a tin for a week.
Some years ago our company laid on snacks with coffee time. I remember looking at one of these cereal bars and it had more calories than a Twix or Mars Bar!

Thanks for your recipe, Vodka. Your bars sound very healthy and all the better if they will stay fresh for a week! I will have a go and it sounds easy to do.
The bars in the first reply have condensed milk in them, lots of sugar there I think!
Condensed milk???17g of fat???? not sure those are healthy recipes coriander...
