Baked beans

When I open a tin of baked beans, I use half and put the other half in a container
then put in the fridge for the next day.
I don't like keeping them for longer than this as they taste different.
As I don't always want them the next day, I was wondering if I can put the container of beans in the freezer?
I won't buy the small tins as they are nearly as much as the larger tins.

Would they taste different if you put them into a plastic container instead? My left over beans seem ok from the can, but husband keeps lecturing me that things should not be left in open tins.
Yes Beans are fine frozen a plastic tub.
I wouldn't worry about keeping them - ours usually come out of the fridge about four days later.

really boxie? They always taste strange to me.
Why should you not leave things in the tin? xx
the inside of the tim starts to react with the acid in the food once the air gets in. you can see it if you look, there will be a tidemark in the tin at the level of the food.
Urgh, i always leave things in the tin. Laziness i think. xx
Maybe it's just the low temperature that affects the taste or maybe you use up all the juice in the first lot

Not 100% sure but I think you can get food poisoning this way.
I've not noticed a difference in taste leaving an opened tin of beans in the fridge 3 or 4 days. I don't claim to be a tin expert but the inside of the tin is coated isn't it ? Seems unlikely there'd be a reaction.
they should freeze ok, no reason why not, I'd give it a try...............

if I keep them in the fridge in the tin or in a plastic container they still make me f..t. Why is that?
Maybe because you don't leave them there but eat them ?
