Yesterday neighbours of ours got up went about their daily business thinking their daughter was having a long lie while on holiday from Uni and when they went to wake her they found her dead. She was, as far as we know, a healthy young woman. Just cant take it in and have been thinking about them all yesterday and today - no question, just needed to to share but didn't want to post in FB as people would then know me and would be able to perhaps identify them and its not my place or intention to put them in that position.

I wouldn't be able to take it in either if I was you ...... we live in the town where the ex policeman stabbed his wife and young daughter to death and then himself, two weeks ago. His two older children were seriously injured and are still in hospital - just think what they are going through, knowing what their normally loving Dad has done. It breaks our hearts in this town.
There were a few of us from the street last night at the kids school Carol concert and we couldn't even look at each other. Just trying to keep things normal and haven't told my kids as they didn't really know her and don't want to worry them. I am sitting here with their Christmas card with 4 names on it knowing that she is gone.
I agree mikmak, but when it is at a holiday time when people are expected to be happy it makes it worse as it taints the holiday for evermore. Her brother is only 18, but it will be difficult for him to have a family christmas with his own kids further down the line as it will always remind him of the day his sister died.
My brother died on the 6th of November and I always remember driving into hospital to say goodbye to him on the 5th with fireworks going off all over the city. I find trying to enjoy guy fawkes with the kids quite difficult still and he died before they were born.
