Help please, my son has brought a marrow home and asked if I will do stuffed marrow, I have never done this in my life before and frankly don't fancy it much. Is it possible to stuff it with sausage meat which might make it more palatable for me and if so a recipe or some guidelines would be appreciated , thnk you x Janet

Try this, but it seems a hell of a palaver.

It doesn't matter what you use to stuff it with, just make sure it's well seasoned or spicy as this can easily be a bland dish! good luck
Any stuffing needs plenty of flavourings - seasoning, spices, herbs etc - otherwise not worth bothering!
snap!

Thank you all for your answers and for reinforcing my feeling that I should throw it away and open a lovely marks and spencer box ha ha ha. I will look at the one on the site recommended and let you know maybe later this evening if I am ever likely to repeat the experment. Thank you all once again x Janet

Peel marrow and cut into slices to make rings. Just fill the centre with savoury mince - make that first in the frying pan. Add whatever spices or herbs you like (I use mild chilli powder) then put it in the middle of the marrow rings (scoop out the seeds and discard) Put in a hot oven for about 10 minutes or until the marrow is cooked but still a bit firm. Its a long time since I made this - my Mum used to make it but my OH not keen on marrow - must make a single portion just for me!!
Try marrow and ginger jam.
