I've left OH at the pub with his mates because I was jealous watching them drink....

Anyhoo, he's going to call me when he's ready to come back to see what I want from the chinesey.

I'm thinking crabs claws, king prawn curry, king prawn and cashew nut...

Any alternative suggestions?

mikey do you honestly think the food you get in a takeaway is anything like an authentic meal you would get in China?

Islay, I've never been to China so I've nothing with which to compare my local takeaway.

Until I become as enlightened as You, I'll make do with a high street special :)
Oh well good oh - and I look forward to further updates on your evening!!

The wife in a couple of close friends of ours is Chinese, and you're right - her cooking is nothing like what the takeaways offer!
And if you want authentic see if they sell deep fried chicken feet or pig trotters :-)
Indians are not authentic either. They are made to our tastes. Doesn't stop most of the population eating them though.
I remember going to a restaurant in China and finding grass turtle aka tortoise on the menu. It took me a moment before I realised that deer's panis was a typo. Safe to say I didn't order either.
