No.
No but car sharing is good if shifts are compatible to free up spaces
A lot of people don't get free parking, especially those who work in cities; but I've beena regular visitor to a couple of hospitals and notice that nurses often park about quarter of a mile away in free places and walk in (as I always do unless I'm talking someone who can't walk)

NO, that's my Wife's biggest moan about her Job!
No.
If it were to be free to nurses it also be free to all other staff (doctors, cleaners, caterers, porters, tecnicians, IT staff, receptionists). It should ideally be free to patients too.
But charges must raise a lot of money and so it would leave agp that would need to be filled in some other way

I should have added all staff.
It's a difficult issue, I agree. It's difficult to know where to draw the line though- should they also get free travel on buses to work or free meals/drinks when at work?

Yeh, guessed that TWR, my wife's not been in Uniform for years but still has to pay to park.
Can be useful if we need A & E or Outpatients though as pass covers all Hospitals in area.
I don't mind paying for one off hospital visits but when you have to be there everyday I think you should get an exception note that you can put in your window instead of a ticket.

Our railway station r

Our railway station has extended the car park by (I don't know what it's called) putting another level above. It's metal....

Maybe hospitals should do the same.
Don't know what happened there !
Of course employees of the NHS shouldn't have to pay to park their cars, ALL employees and neither should patients or visitors.

Money is wasted in the NHS (in my opinion)..staff overpaid, including Consultants, money absolutely haemorrhaging from the NHS ( see link above) and yet staff and patients are charged for parking....scandalous!
NO, neither should people in need of medical attention!
No, I don't think they should.
No..
Why not? When I worked in a city I had to buy a weekly ticket to park my car which worked out at nearly 5% of my salary. He'res a question though -Do employees of Supermarkets that require ticket car parking get free parking or is there an employees car park The same thing should be done for Hospital employees -whoever they are.
I think parking at hospitals and other NHS facilities should be free - for everyone using the services provided.

Should it be free for employees? That's more problematical - you could ask why are NHS staff different from any other worker who has to pay to park whilst at work?

What about Teachers - should schools have to provide free on-site parking?

What about Police Officers?

What about Fire Fighters?

Where do you stop?
No!! & neither should patients!!! X
dave....LOL.....good point, but i thought that teachers, police, firefighters...DID get privileged and free parking......am i wrong?

But you are correct, it is problematical concerning health workers.
