It was isolated and as mushroom mentioned before diagnosis we are unsure how many people may have come in contact on this occassion. It seems different this time especially with a second potential case coming up today.
I wouldn't want to spread any fear, my question was - will people experiencing upset stomachs be more worried than usual?

'Anyone worried about symptoms (such as fever, chills, muscle aches, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, sore throat or rash) within 21 days of coming back from Guinea, Liberia or Sierra Leone should stay at home and immediately telephone 111 or 999 and explain they believe they have come into contact with someone with Ebola.'

However
Say you are living in Glasgow and hypothetically (a month ago) you experienced stomach pain, slight fever and vomiting. The first thought in your head would not be EBOLA, it would be "What have I eaten, is anyone else I know been ill etc....."
Now, if you experience similar symptoms next week, with what is in the news today, you may think EBOLA and panic!
