Tuesday. Another heavy frost this morning. Yesterday it burned off quickly when Ole Sol got out of bed! I hope it does today.

Domesticity is the order of the day. How wonderful. :-\

Have a happy day everyone.

Morning baffy xxx I'm fine thanks. Well, still breathing anyway! :o}

It's lovely to see you. How are you? Did you have a good Christmas? :o}
Oh nooooo.....looks like I'm Bathy No Mates.....where is everyone? :(
Question Author
Sorry about the delay replying. I was dealing with emails.
Phew, that's a relief..there you are!!
I'm still breathing also....not sleeping, but breathing, lol!
Yeah, Xmas was ok thanks,......yours? x x
Question Author
I'm glad you are baffy!...still breathing I mean! :o}

Yes. Christmas was a lot better than I was expecting. I was invited to friends for the day. What they didn't tell me was that we were going to her daughter's for lunch. They knew I would have declined if they'd told me that, as I'd never met either of her daughters. I was welcomed as one of the family. Both of her daughters were there. A wonderful lunch. Dishing out the pressies afterwards was fun watching the little one getting all upsited! Much to my surprise there were some for me to! Most unexpected. A lovely day with lovely people. I got home about 9 that evening.

Sleep? wossat??
Morning Boaty & Baths.
Good to hear xmas went well for you both. Mine was nice but rather glad it's over for another year meself. Only have New Year to contend with now then it's back to normal, whatever that maybe.
Aaww, that sounds really heartwarming....good friends eh? ...such a blessing.
Happy to read you had a little person to share the day with.....Xmas is so much more fun with kiddies around :) x x
Morning ozzy, or evening ;)
Yep, I agree with you...I'm more than ready to get back to normal.

Afternoon oz. Yup. Just one more day of nonsense and then it's back to whatever passes as normal.

baffy the children, two of them, one of each, were delightful. The lad is going to be an engineer. All he wants is Leggo, so that he can make things, a particular interest in railways. He's very good at it too. The lass, the younger of the two is also very intelligent for a 4 year old. Only needs to be shown how to do something once and she's well away!

I could well do without the hype, hypocrisy and greed of silly season. On the idiot box t'other day, there was a family who haven't paid for last year yet, and gone even deeper into debt and wondering how they will manage! What planet are they on!
Have to agree with you both. It's little kiddies that make Christmas what it is.
The excitement they bring is infectious.
And playing with their new toys is always fun!, except for skateboards of course ;-)
Ah yep,....Leggo....there seems to be a huge Leggo revival, or did it never go away? Even after all these years without a small person in the house I can still remember the feeling of treading on it with bare feet! x x
Ahh, the dreaded credit card, some will never learn.
Question Author
Skateboards are instruments of torture!

Leggo likewise, but on a smaller scale. Mechano was the thing when I was a lad.
I never had lego as a kid. Dad reckoned lego was for would be bricklayers but mecanno was for engineers. Had lots of mecanno as a kid, ended up driving a bus eventually :-)
Never had a credit card, + never intend to.
I've been watching too much daytime TV just lately, + I'm amazed at the ads for loans, + bingo etc......crazy x x
Question Author
You're right oz. We both cut ours up the day Vera retired. I have a debit card. That's it. I don't buy anything on the knock. If I want something I don't have the money for I save for it.
Question Author
I did eventually become an engineer, specialising in welding.

baffy I agree re the ads. Crazy! It's no wonder some people get into debt. But they don't learn! There was a case, a few years ago now, of a girl in her early 20's had 8 credit cards and all of them were maxed!
