Yes and you could probably get cash back in the local small supermarket. Look out for PC Plum, he's a real jobsworth.

Your hotel / b&b / campsite operator should be able to cash a cheque with a card for you. And cash back at the Co-op is an option if you are in Tobermory.

You'll need cash of course to eat at the chip van on the pier.....best for miles..
