Unless they have done anything wrong by not providing the service correctly, then you are stuck in the contract until the end, which is the point of a contract!

You could try and negotiate a cheaper tariff but if they want to say no, they can. They are entitled to charge an early cancellation fee as well.
who is it with? i know some will allow you to change the tariff after 6 months of a contract.

its with 3 pay.............
ive got a contract with 3 and i can lower the contract every 2 months from month 6 onwards.
I suppose it depends what tariff you are already on then
You can reduce your tarriff after 6 months of having a contract and i think the minimum contract on o2 is about 15 and pay it off monthly untill the 18 months is up. You can use the minutes you get free with the tariff (which are usually off peak on low tarriffs) but make sure you do not go over them. Then in your 17th month make sure you give them a months notice as they will carry on charging you. This is probably the only way.........
oh ive just read youre on 3!!!

you can reduce the tarriff every month after 6 months but you can only go down by one tarriff at a time!

3 are pigs to get out of contratcs unfortunatly
