Paid this online last week, got email saying not gone thru, paid it again today and checked my account and it shows that my last payment has been taken out and they have taken this payment as well 300quid altogether, they should put the 2nd payment back into my account when i ask them to straight away shouldn't they? i paid both online at british gas. now my account is saying i am in credit of 150quid, i dont want to be in credit i want that money back into my account for other bills.

why dont you phone them tomorrow and ask them? Im sure they will refund you the excess.
same thing has happened with me, said we had not paid so rang them up
they then said it was paid. i have dual fuel with british gas they only asked for the biggest bill there was something odd about this. give them a ring in the morning.andy
