Right, no sniggering.............!

Mrs jth didn't record 'The Killing' on Saturday night because she was going to tape the repeat last night.........and guess what ?

It's available on iPlayer but as there are 2-hours to catch up on, it'll get a little uncomfortable sitting around the laptop for 120 minutes.

Is it possible to download/record the programmes and burn them onto a DVD ? And will this then be playable on a proper DVD/TV system ?

Please be gentle with me............:o(

You can plug your laptop into the TV using a HDMI cable
IPlayer allows you to download the programes, I was able to download onto my MP3 player so I don't know why you shouldn't be able to burn them.

if you have a Wii connected to your TV then your can link this to your wi fi router and watch the iPlayer on your TV through the Wii.

I believe you can also do this with a PS3 or XBox.

Ahhhh................Mrs jth home from work ready to watch programme and I have just discovered that my laptop doesn't actually have an HDMI port.

I have no X-box, Wii, Ps anything, etc.

Ideas?
Just wanted to ask JTH - How are you doing after your recent surgery?

I'm fine and dandy, Society, thankyou.
Infinitely betterer than I was before, if perhaps a tidge shorter ! :o)

P.S. We plumped for the 'huddling around the laptop' option. Isn't it a cracking series ?!?

I didn't know you could watch iplayer on Wii. How does one do that?
You get your kids to download the iPlayer channel onto your Wii.
"You get your kids to..."

Well I wouldn't have a chance! At least they have their uses.
