Apply mousse to damp hair, hang head down & hair dry to obtain maximum body.

Try this fabemmy - I have been using this for sometime and it does make your hair feel thicker. They also do a conditioner, but I can't use any type of conditioner on my hair.
I originally bought mine from QVC the shopping channel but as you can see they sell it on Ebay. If this one sells out (as I am going to bid) there are others on the site. I know its a bit pricey, but its worth it. As they say, you only get what you pay for. |

you can also have a body wave perm if your hair is fairly long - you get that lovely tousled look and get fabulous body with it too. you have to use a reputable salon and decent stylist tho - so a cut will cost £30ish and a perm £50ish. expensive - but very, very worth it! x

hi fabemmy
i have used the ojon products too - the thickening shampoo and conditioner, and yes they are very good. i dont always use it for every wash because it is quite expensive, but when i do, i can certainly tell the difference. its worth a try :o) |

Have you tried having a layered shorted hair cut ? this will make your hair look fuller and not as flat to your head. A colour can help too.

I agree with smurf, having shorter hair can instantly add volume

I find with my thin, fine hair that if I keep it fairly short and have highlights put in fairly regularly that it helps it look thicker. I also hardly ever use conditioner, as that seems to flatten it. I think Pantene do a shampoo for volumising hair as well.

in my experience (having fine, limp hair but lots of it); the more stuff you put on it, the flatter it gets as the day goes on. i tried everything, but the only thing that has ever worked is the body wave perm and a nice layered cut with it. i am now not ashamed to wear my hair any way i like. research it on the internet - it may seem expensive, but if you resort to buying bottles of shampoo for £10+, its actually not x

Like stonekicker I have fine hair but loads of it. Layering can work very well for fine hair and hi-lights can also give an illusion of thickness. However, my fine hair is annoying a bit wavy. I have found that a short cut which is feathery and endy with hi-lights works very well. You have to work with what you have. I would love longer, straight hair.

My hair is very fine and getting thinner with age .. I have a chin length square bob which is highlighted and finely layered into the nape - it looks much thicker like this, and the colour thickens it as well. I have just started using tigi shampoo and conditioner, leave the conditioner in for a while before washing off and dry with your head down, underneath first, upside down !
