I am having surgery on Monday and will be out of action/not walking for about 10-12 weeks. So instead of me being bored I thought maybe I could learn something crafty whilst I am sat around. Any suggestions?
I can knit already to a degree. I would like something that wont cost much as I am on a tight budget and maybe something where I can learn via Youtube or similar? I was thinking maybe Origami - I learnt as a child but have totally forgotten since then.

Thanks guys

I quite enjoy internet backgammon and hearts...........
Learn to crochet maybe
It's not 'crafty' as such but when I was laid up with broken ankles, I really got into researching my family tree.
There is so much available for free on 'tinterweb and you can always pop back on here for tips or additional information.
Are you male or female Greedy?

Greedy probably female. How many men do you know who admit to knitting or who would want to do something useful during a time of not having to do anything!!!!
learn a language
Missed the knitting bit grasscarp & the rest , yeah true! lol!
Cross stitch?
Cross stitch is a good one, you can order kits or charts and threads online and you have a real sense of achievement when you complete one. There are projects for all levels of skill so complete beginners would have no problems.

Can you get yourself over to your nearest Tech College for some inexpensive Art Classes as Water Colour Painting might be of interest.
