Do deaf people find farts funny because the noise is half the fun, who can say they never smiled or laughed at a right rip roarer in school assembly. would a deaf person know what everyone was smiling about

This reminds me of a joke:------

An old dear in church leans towards her husband and whispers " I've just done a silent fart , what do you think I should do" and he replies " get some new batteries for your hearing aid"

I know this should be in jokes , but it fits the posting.

Just why is it that farts are so funny? (love the joke btw keith). I like to think that I have a fairly sophisticated sense of humour but fart noises have me in hysterics.
